Expert suggests there’s been West Ham dressing room bust up amid ‘big’ claim

Frank McAvennie has suggested the players may be to blame for recent poor results at West Ham.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Hammers striker said he heard there was a “big argument” in the dressing room after last weekend’s 4-0 defeat to Brighton.

David Moyes’s side are struggling at the bottom end of the table after a difficult season and are facing the threat of relegation.

The Irons were beaten 4-0 by the Seagulls last weekend (4 March) in the latest of a string of poor league results.

On 8 March, Football Insider revealed that Moyes still has the backing of his squad of player despite the pressure on his position.

It is believed that the decision-makers at West Ham are reluctant to make a managerial change to late in the season and are keeping faith in the Scotsman.

But McAvennie has suggested the players could be to blame for recent results.

I heard there was a big argument in the dressing room after the weekend,” he told Football Insider.

I hope that is not starting to creep in. I do not know if it is David or not but you cannot be that negative.

The players that West Ham have got, I can’t understand why David Moyes would do that so maybe it is the players.

Last year they were defending well and hitting people on the break, this year they are getting found out so they have to change it.
