Expert: Tottenham may be hiding money from fans as financial deadline missed
Tottenham may hold off on releasing their end-of-year financial report until February to ease expectations in the transfer market.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Tottenham are yet to release their end-of-year report for 2022 despite 2021’s results being released in November of that year.

Wenham expects the report to show Spurs are flush with cash and claims the club may hold off on sharing these results as it would put pressure on the club during the January transfer window.
“The big issue for the club is when their financials come out,” Wenham told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“When they come out, I am pretty certain it will show we are bringing in more revenue than the likes of Chelsea. You might be thinking, how is that possible?
“I am almost certain that will happen. We were eighth or ninth in the top ten earning clubs last year, just behind Chelsea.
“You look at merchandise and things like that. When we see these results and it shows we are in a different ballpark to some of the teams around us, fans will expect investment in the first team.
“These results were due two weeks ago and we still haven’t had them. Last year they came out in the middle of November.

“I just wonder whether the club have decided to release them in February when the window is shut. Otherwise, expectations are going to go through the roof.
“Severe pressure would be put on the club to spend some money.”
