Expert: Tottenham set for financial boost after 'massive' Harry Kane development

Harry Kane’s appearance on American TV could provide a financial boost for Tottenham.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Kane, 28, appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon (May 27) while on holiday in the USA.

Spurs have a large following in the USA and Wenham insists Kane’s appearance can only be good news for the club.

“Harry Kane, longer-term, I can see him going to play in the MLS,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He spends a lot of time over in America on holiday, he loves it over there. He’s done kicks on the pitch during the Super Bowl and stuff like that.

“He is mates with Tom Brady as well, Kane has really strong links with American sport.

“I think he talked really well while on TV, that will have been massive for him. It looks like he has had some media training because he was very comfortable and I was impressed with his performance.

“It builds our brand out there. Tottenham are very big in America. We actually have the most supporters clubs over there out of the Premier League teams.

“Daniel Levy has opened the stock exchange, Bale has been on the billboards at Times Square. We have a massive American audience.

“Seeing Kane on American TV just builds that profile of us over there and that can only be a good thing for Tottenham financially.”
