‘Exposed’, ‘Crying out’ – Leeds fans are saying the same thing about Georginio Rutter after 1-1 draw v Coventry

Leeds fans want Georginio Rutter dropped from the starting line-up after his “dreadful” display against Coventry City on Saturday (16 December).

Daniel Farke’s side let three points slip at Elland Road after Crysencio Summerville’s second-half opener was nullified by Bobby Thomas’ equaliser just eight minutes later in the 1-1 draw.

Rutter added to his assist tally for Summerville’s strike but failed to impress across the 90 minutes with wasteful shooting and frequently losing possession in key areas.

Much frustration among the Elland Road faithful has stemmed from the Frenchman’s position and many have wanted to see him drop deeper and have Joel Piroe play up top.

However, swathes of fans have now seen enough after his performance against the Sky Blues and have taken to social media to call for him to be axed.

This fan wants a trio of Leeds stars, including Rutter, dropped and claimed changes “need” to be made.

One supporter feels the side is missing an out-and-out goalscorer and slammed Rutter’s and Piroe’s underwhelming goal return this season.

This fan felt Rutter looked off the mark against Coventry and would rather look for a free kick than commit to the Whites’ attacks.

Another supporter feels his time is up in the starting XI and wants to see Willy Gnonto take his place.

This fan wants Piroe to take the reigns as the striker and have Archie Gray come in as the number 10.

One fan was baffled that Rutter was given a high match rating and claimed that he must be dropped as he leaves the defence “exposed”.

One fan is eager to see how Summerville would perform at number 10 at Rutter’s expense.

This supporter claims that Leeds can beat second-place Ipswich if Rutter is axed.

This fan admitted his preference to drop Rutter would not be popular but claimed he’s the first player who should go.

In other news, Sources: Leeds could now accept Gnonto offer.
