‘Fans are going to be excited’ – Rangers expert reveals what ‘I’ve heard about Clement’ from training ground
Philippe Clement’s turnaround of Rangers since his arrival in October has been “unbelievable”.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers and Scotland defender Alan Hutton has been impressed with the boss and has been told that he has the squad “training all the time”.
He also shared that Clement will not include players in the matchday squad if they are not fit enough.

Clement has spearheaded a reversal of the Gers’ fortunes since Michael Beale’s lacklustre start to the season and, following their Viaplay Cup triumph over Aberdeen on Sunday (17 December), sit just two points behind table-toppers Celtic with a game in hand.
Hutton hailed the speed of the turnaround at the club and the fact that players are clearly responding to his philosophy.
“Of course, fans are going to be excited with Clement,” he told Football Insider.
“They felt that way when Steven Gerrard came in. He won the league and it was a shame that he didn’t kick on after that.
“But with Clement coming in, it’s been an unbelievable turnaround from where they were.
“It was a little bit doom and gloom, the performances weren’t great but he’s turned it around so quickly.
“That’s been the most impressive thing. He’s very on it and, from what I’ve heard from my sources, that he’s got all the players training all the time.
“If they’re not fit enough, they won’t be in the squad and he’s really determined to make a good go of it.
“The players are all buying into it, which is the main thing.

“The thing I like most about him is that he’s not taken his foot off the gas.
“He wants them to keep moving forward with his philosophy and that’s exactly what he’s doing.”
