Fans destroy Celtic first teamer on Twitter after woeful display for Scotland against Slovenia

Celtic midfielder James Forrest started for Scotland during their 1-0 win against Slovenia on Friday night – and fans on Twitter destroyed the player for his performance.
The 25-year-old first-team player produced a woeful display during the important World Cup qualifier at Hampden Park.
The home team were not at their during certain parts of the match but substituted Chris Martin came up with the goods when his late strike helped seal a much-needed three points on their road to Russia.
At first, the Scottish fans were questioning why Gordon Strachan selected Forrest for the match with Newcastle winger Matt Ritchie on the bench.
Supporters slammed his technical ability as well as the creativity of the player throughout the match.

However, fans were impressed with Forrest’s club teammates, Kiernan Tierney and Stuart Armstrong – the latter set up the winning goal.

Forrest has been a regular feature for Brendan Rodgers side this season, playing 38 games in all competitions.
Furthermore, he has played 21 Scottish Premiership games, scoring five goals and supplying seven assists with the Bhoys unbeaten on the domestic circuit this term.
During his last game for the Glasgow giants, Forrest provided an assist as Rodgers men saw off a stubborn Dundee team.
With the international break now over, Forrest will be looking to help his team clinch the SPL title away at Hearts on April 2.
