Fans destroy Rangers 28-year-old after win against Aberdeen

By Amir Mir

Joe Garner started for Rangers as they beat Aberdeen 3-0 in the Scottish Premiership – and fans on Twitter have hit out at the player for his antics during the game.

The 28-year-old played 70 minutes for Pedro Caixinha’s side as they scored three goals in four minutes to record a valuable three points away from home.

The Gers were the better side in the first half but were under the cosh after the break with goalkeeper Wes Foderingham coming to his side’s aid on a number of occasions.

With the game goalless after 79 minutes, striker Kenny Miller scored a magnificent goal to get the ball rolling for the away team.

Thereafter, the goals kept coming with Miller and substitute Joseph Dodoo adding a second and third which ended the Dons five-match winning run.

During the game, Garner was involved in an altercation with Ryan Jack, with the Dons player making a late and dangerous tackle on his opponent in the first-half.

Garner didn’t respond well to the high challenge with the duo pushing and shoving each other after the incident.

As a result, Garner fell to the floor quite easily and was lambasted by the supporters for doing so with minimal contact made by Jack.

The referee booked the duo after with Garner picking up his tenth booking of the campaign – he has scored nine goals this season.
