'Fantastic news', 'Praise the lord' – Tottenham fans in meltdown at latest club news

Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld has declared himself as fit and ready for a return to first team action after recovering from injury.
And supporters of the Lillywhites have exploded on Twitter responding to the news of the Belgium international’s comeback, clearly eager to see the enforcer back in the side.
Alderweireld had been sidelined since November when the 28-year-old suffered a hamstring strain in Spurs’ 3-1 win over Real Madrid.
After a two month spell out, the centre-half could play in the FA Cup this weekend against Newport County.
But amidst all the delight at having their star enforcer back in the fold, there were a couple of fans who acknowledged that the ongoing contract situation remained unsolved and urged the Belgian to put pen to paper and end the speculation, with one saying, ‘Now we can announce the new contract then…’
The agent of the former Atletico centre-back had warned earlier this month that Alderweireld was wanted by a number of clubs and ought to be sold if the club could not offer him a new deal.
Here is a selection of Tweets from the supporters:
