Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to welcome the possible signing of Barnsley defender Andy Yiadom this summer.
The Sun’s transfer expert Alan Nixon reported on his personal Twitter account on Sunday morning that United are “strong favourites” to land the in-demand Ghana international, 26.
As revealed by Football Insider, Celtic are also keen to sign Yiadom, whose pedigree is such that he was set to join Swansea City last summer only for the deal to collapse at the last minute because the paperwork was not completed in time.
Yiadom is highly sought after by clubs in the Premier League, Championship and Scottish Premiership after being a mainstay for Barnsley since joining from Barnet in the summer of 2016.
He has made 31 appearances in all competitions for the second-tier strugglers this season, including 29 league starts.

Leeds manager Paul Heckingbottom is keen to be reunited with the versatile full-back, who is available on a free transfer when his contract ends at Oakwell in June.
Supporters have claimed on social media that Yiadom is a “great player” and a “class” act, although some are concerned as to whether he is better at left-back or right-back.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Surely he will go to Swansea or Huddersfield. 2 Prem teams who want him?

Can’t see him being better than Ayling at right back, might have to play left back which is never ideal
