Fans react on Twitter to Jordan claiming that Rangers are bigger than Celtic

By Amir Mir

Simon Jordan has claimed that Rangers are bigger than Celtic – and fans on Twitter have provided mixed views to his comments.

The former Crystal Palace chairman made the bold statement on his personal Twitter account which has wound up the Celtic faithful.

Furthermore, all Gers fans agreed with his comments as Jordan is very outspoken when talking about football matters.

The Old Firm rivalry is arguably one of the biggest matches, if not the biggest match in world football – it is set to take place once again on April 23 with a place in the Scottish Cup final up for grabs.

The hatred and passion displayed at the games is like no other, therefore, it is no surprise that Jordan’s comments got a reaction.

Many Rangers fans applauded the former chairman for his comments and echoed his words while their Glasgow neighbours were not too pleased.

Some Bhoys fans reminded their rivals that they were liquidated and mocked them in that manner while others asked how he came up with that assumption.

This season, the duo have met on four occasions, with Brendan Rodgers side winning three games and the Gers snatching a draw at Parkhead in March.

Pedro Caixinha has the opportunity to stop his rivals, who have already won the SPL title and Scottish League Cup, from winning the treble this term.
