Arsenal fans react on Twitter to second biggest signing in club's history

Granit Xhaka has become the second biggest transfer in Arsenal’s history after completing his move to north London on Wednesday – and Arsenal fans took to Twitter to express their delight
The 23-year-old Switzerland international is believed to have cost Arsenal around £34million, edging over the £32million paid for Alexis Sanchez in 2014.
This places Xhaka second only to Mesut Ozil, who joined the Gunners in a £40million deal from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013.
The midfielder has two Swiss Super League titles and 26 goals to show for his time with Basel and will be looking to continue his success with Arsenal. The move sees Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger spend over £30m on an individual player for the third time in three seasons.
Arsenal fans took to Twitter to give their verdict on the move:

Buzzing with the signing of Xhaka, question now is who he will partner in DM – Ramsey, Wilshere, Coquelin, Cazorla all potential partners…

As good as Xhaka could ‘potentially’ be, surely Arsenal could have got a ready made DM in Kante for cheaper?

Xhaka is one of the best deals Wenger ever made
Before EURO, so his price wont go up for us
Before season starts, so he can prepare well.

Most Arsenal fans seem to be buzzing with excitement at the move, which adds even more talent to arguably the most technically gifted midfield in the Premier League.
All that remains to be seen now is if Xhaka can be a success in English football. After a difficult season for the Gunners, Arsenal fans will certainly be hoping he can make a title-winning impact.
