'Who on earth is doing our medicals?' - Leeds fans steam after Jan signing injury revelation
By Richard Parks
Leeds United defender Aapo Halme has revealed that he is back in training after two months out with a foot injury – and fans have taken to Twitter to express their anger after the mystery of his absence was finally explained.
Supporters have been baffled that the Finnish centre-back, who was signed from HJK Helsinki in the January window, has not been named in the matchday squad for the Under-23s in the last two months.
Halme, 19, has now cleared up the mystery in an interview with Finnish publication Iltalehti in which he explained that “it has not been the easiest entry” into English football.
The 6ft 4in centre-back signed a four-and-a-half year contract in the winter window and immediately linked up with the Leeds Under-23s.
But he sustained a training ground injury shortly after his arrival and has spent the last two-and-a-bit months working on his rehabilitation.

Leeds supporters took to social media to express their frustration that the club had signed a player who immediately broke down, just as striker Tyler Roberts did after his January arrival.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Can it just be coincidence how many new signings are a similar story?

Will he better than cock up Cooper and push over Pennington?
