Fans react to ‘insane’ Erling Haaland footage during Man City win vs Luton
Fans on social media could not believe the “hilarious” and “insane” moment involving Erling Haaland as Man City beat Luton Town 5-1 on Saturday (13 April).
Man City have temporarily returned to the top of the Premier League table after an emphatic victory over Luton at the Etihad Stadium.
Pep Guardiola’s side took an early lead in bizarre fashion after Erling Haaland’s acrobatic effort rebounded off Daiki Hashioka just two minutes into the match.
Haaland’s effort – unsurprisingly – went down as an own-goal after his initial shot looked to be flying well wide of the goal.
However, Haaland eventually scored his 20th goal of the Premier League season from the penalty spot in the second half.
Mateo Kovacic, Jeremy Doku and Josko Gvardiol were also on the scoresheet for the champions, but fans on social media were fixated on the “hilarious” turn of events that led to the opener.

The three points gained against Luton mean City are now top of the table but they could be de-throned by Arsenal or Liverpool when their title rivals take on Aston Villa and Crystal Palace respectively on Sunday.
City return to action on Wednesday when they face Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League clash.
