Fans vote two Leeds stars in top 20 best Football League players

Fans have voted for Pontus Jansson and Chris Wood to appear in the top 20 of a list looking to discover the best players in the Football League.
The Leeds duo have been instrumental in getting the Yorkshire giants to sit in a strong fifth place with six matches to go with Jansson starring at the back, while Wood scores the goals.
Now, popular football magazine Four Four Two have ran a feature asking fans to name the best players in the English lower divisions and both Leeds players finished in the top 20 of a 50 man list compiled of the best in the Football League.
Jansson sits in a strong 20th position, but Wood leads him quite favourably with supporters voting for him to finish in fifth place.

Both Jansson and Wood have surprised fans and exceeded expectations this season with the centre-back an unknown quantity before his summer loan move from Italian side Torino, which has since became a permanent deal.

Meanwhile, New Zealand international Wood was being jeered by sections of the Whites’ fan base at the start of the season, but he has since silenced those with a stunning 24 goals in 38 appearances.
Fans will be hoping the duo continue to impress before the season’s end with the famous club still aiming to end their 13-year wait for Premier League football.
