Farhad Moshiri to give Frank Lampard 'complete control' at Everton as overhaul stepped up - pundit
Everton will avoid relegation and Frank Lampard will be given the chance to build his own squad this summer.
That’s according to former West Ham hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Toffees’ chances of staying up.
Everton are one point and two places above the relegation zone heading into the final three games of the season.
They also have a game in hand on 18th-placed Leeds United, with Jesse Marsch’s side in poor form.
Everton posted losses of more than £110million for the third successive season at the end of March, casting doubt on the club’s ability to spend this summer.
Despite these losses, McAvennie is expecting a busy summer at Goodison Park.

“They can’t keep going the way they are going, that’s for sure,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“There are plenty of players who need to leave and then they will be replaced. Richarlison could go, Calvert-Lewin could go.
“So there is money to get back and then spend. Obviously, the key is to not spend more than they are bringing in.
“Lampard also has this ability to bring young players in through the academy, he did it at Chelsea.
“So there could be a bit of change to that first-team squad. I think they should give Lampard complete control.
“Whoever has been making the decisions there needs to stop and let someone else have a go.”
Everton face Brentford, Crystal Palace and Arsenal before the end of the season
They last played in 0-0 draw with already relegated Watford on 11 May.
