AC Milan have tabled an official offer to sign Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu this month, according to a report.
Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport claim the Serie A giants have submitted a fax on Tuesday to the Merseyside club detailing their loan-to-buy bid for the Spaniard, 22.
It is said that Milan are waiting for a response from Everton but have been encouraged by the stance of the player.
Deulofeu is pushing to leave Goodison Park after falling down the pecking order this season under Ronald Koeman.
He has made just 13 appearances in all competitions this season, spread across 569 minutes of action, which have yielded just a single assist and no goals.
The young Spaniard, who made a permanent switch to the Toffees in the summer of 2015 after initially impressing while on loan, is contracted to Everton until the summer of 2018.
Football Insider verdict:
Everton fans should be careful what they wish for. Supporters have got on his back in recent months and Deulofeu might not be quite to the taste of Koeman at the moment but he is young enough and good enough to still be a major performer in the Premier League. A spell on loan in Serie A could be just the ticket for the winger. He can get plenty of minutes under his belt, restore his confidence and come back to Everton next season and be a major asset to the team.
