Finance guru: Tottenham set to benefit from ‘huge’ Son Heung-min deal
Tottenham stand to benefit from Son Heung-min’s new deal with Calvin Klein, according to Doctor Dan Plumley.
The football finance expert, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, said the brand endorsement is “huge” for the Spurs winger especially.
As reported by SportsProMedia (8 August), Son has agreed a deal to become a brand ambassador of Calvin Klein in South Korea.
The 30-year-old will feature in the brand’s 2022 fall campaign and promote their latest products.
The news comes just two months after the forward was announced as a brand ambassador for UK fashion house Burberry.
Speaking on his deal with Calvin Klein, Son said he is “thrilled to be representing” the brand in his home country.
When asked by Football Insider how significant the development was for both player and club, Plumley said: “It is huge.
“Huge for Son on a personal level especially.
“Tottenham benefit from that as well.
“Spurs are very aware of that. Part of the reason for keeping hold of him and pinning him down to a new long-term contract is his commercial value. It is vitally important.

“We know that the Asian market has a lot of fans of English football. We know that they follow clubs based on their own superstars. There is no bigger player in South Korea than Son.
“It benefits Son and Spurs. They will benefit directly and indirectly from that.”
