Fitness issues of Celtic star set to dominate run-up v Rangers - conflicting reports already
There is little doubt that Moussa Dembele was missed by Celtic in their 2-1 loss to Hibernian on Saturday.
The Frenchman, who missed the game due to injury, is the subject of conflicting reports about the severity of his injury and if he will recover in time to face Rangers in a potential title party for the Hoops on Sunday.
The Daily Record is reporting that he 100% will be fit for the game, while the Scottish Sun is slightly more cautious in their outlook, claiming that the 21-year-old faces a ‘race against time’ to be fit for the game.
If Dembele was to miss the game, it would be a big blow for Brendan Rodgers, as the player has been in excellent form in recent weeks, and has given Rangers plenty of problems in the two recent games against the Ibrox side.
Whilst the Hoops do have other strikers, none of them are as good as Dembele.

Odsonne Edouard may have scored the winning goal at Ibrox last month – after a pass from Dembele – and Leigh Griffiths is a very consistent striker but the duo lack the all-round game the Frenchman has.
If Dembele is out the Hoops will still be big favourites to win the game, but a Hoops side featuring the young star is far better than one without the prolific Frenchman.
