Bruce’s men had gone five games without a win before their daunting trip to Middlesbrough to face ex-West Brom manager Pulis for his first game in charge of the North East club.
Though the odds were not in Villa’s favour, they produced a brilliant performance that result in a massive three points.
Snodgrass’ 75th minute goal was enough to snatch all three points, and that could serve as a morale boost going into their double-legged play-off with Boro over the coming weeks.
