Forget Man United: Mason Mount told to accept Bayern Munich offer – pundit
Bayern Munich could be an ideal transfer destination for Mason Mount if he decides to leave Chelsea.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton believes that a move to Germany would be a great move if the a deal with Manchester United collapses.
According to the Guardian (24 June), Bayern Munich are stepping up their interest in Mason Mount and attempting to capitalise on Man United’s struggle to agree a fee with Chelsea for the midfielder.
The 24-year-old is entering the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge and has been the subject of transfer interest from United.
According to Sky Sports (25 June), Chelsea rejected United’s latest offer of £55million for the midfielder and the Red Devils are now focusing on other targets.
United’s current offer of £55m is still on the table but Chelsea have made a counter-proposal of £58m plus £7m in add-ons.
Hutton believes that reuniting with Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich would be a good alternative decision to Man United.
“Bayern Munich are a huge draw, in my opinion,” He told Football Insider
“They are an iconic football team, why would you not want to be part of that move forward?

“You know that you’re going to compete, you’re going to win trophies in Germany.
“I think deep down he would probably want to go to Manchester United if I’m honest, but it looks like they’re starting to get annoyed with negotiations a little bit.”
