Tottenham are reportedly confident of signing Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha in the next transfer window.
The Daily Mirror claim that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino believes he will land the £30million-rated winger in the summer.
The report details that the Argentinian manager is a long-term admirer of the 24-year-old and the north London club are confident of finally signing their target.
However, Spurs would be taking a huge on splashing out £30million on an attacker that is very hat-and-miss in the Premier League.
Here, Football Insider looks at three London-based players that Spurs should attempt to sign instead of Zaha.

Spurs should try and secure a deal for Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon in the summer, a signing that would be a big statement to their rivals. The Daily Mail report that Spurs are leading the Europe-wide race for the 16-year-old defender, who is currently impressing in the Championship. The attack-minded left-back is being tipped to become a future England star and would be a great addition to Pochettino’s youthful squad.
This deal would be difficult to pull off, but Spurs should consider a move for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from bitter rivals Arsenal. The 23-year-old is set to become available to sign in the summer after a report in the Times detailed he wants to leave the Emirates Stadium. Oxlade-Chamberlain has been inconsistent during his time with Arsenal, but there is no doubting the midfielder has huge talent and potential. Spurs may be the team that can get the best out of him and has has shown in 2017 that he can recapture his best form, with some impressive displays as a central midfielder.
Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma would be another exciting addition at White Hart Lane and he may be available to sign. The Daily Express report that the centre-back is set to hold talks about his future at Stamford Bridge and claims he faces an unsettled future. The 22-year-old has found himself frozen out of the Chelsea starting XI following his return from a long-term injury, but that is only down to the strong form of his team-mates. Zouma was a regular before a serious injury and the France international still has huge potential to become one of Europe’s top defenders.
In other Tottenham transfer news, the club are tipped to sign a 32-goal striker.
