In-form Celtic player can provide much-needed spark for unlikely triumph v Zenit

COMMENT
Celtic go into their Europa League last 32 first leg tie against Zenit on Thursday as outsiders.
Not only do the Russian side have a deep pool of internationals they can call upon, but the Hoops are dealing with a chronic injury crisis, the likes of which haven’t been seen for a long time.
Key players such as; Craig Gordon, Dedryck Boyata, Stuart Armstrong and Leigh Griffiths are out of the match at Celtic Park on Thursday night due to injury.
If the Hoops are to pull off an unlikely victory at Celtic Park to take with them to the second leg in Russia next Thursday, the player that Brendan Rodgers’ side will be relying on most is James Forrest.
The 26-year-old is currently in the best from of his career, taking his goal tally for the season to 16 after his recent hat-trick against Partick Thistle.
As he is one of the few players at Celtic Park that are currently in excellent form, there is the danger that the Bhoys could end up giving the ball to the Scotland international all match, but he is in such good form that could well be a gamble worth taking.
The Hoops players need to stand up and be counted against Zenit, and it looks like Forrest will be leading the way.
