Coquelin delivers verdict on Arsenal dressing room as reported Sanchez move inches closer

Former Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has defended Alexis Sanchez’s work ethic, and insists that the Chilean international has had no negative effect on the dressing room.
Speaking to BBC Football Focus, as quoted by Football London, the Valencia star indicates that he does not know where those rumours came from,
“I hear a lot of things that the dressing room wasn’t getting on well with him but I don’t really know where that comes from.
“We talk about ego but he is someone who is always keen to work and I didn’t have any problem with him.”
Coquelin spent the best part of fours years in the same dressing room as Sanchez, before leaving for Spain earlier this month, and the Chilean looks set to follow him out the door.
The Frenchman suggests that this uncertainty surrounding Sanchez could be a causal factor in these rumours, as the players do not know where his future lies,
“I don’t think the squad have a problem. I think the only problem is the uncertainty around him. They probably don’t know what next week is going to be, if he’s going to be here or not,
“That’s what the transfer window is all about so they will probably know in the next couple of days or so.”
It has widely been reported that the transfer between Arsenal and Manchester United is in it’s final stages, so the Gunners players will not have long to wait for clarity.
In other Arsenal news, Arsene Wenger confirms that the transfer of Alexis Sanchez will not be one way traffic.
