Former Celtic midfielder Simon Donnelly has criticised Martin Keown, after the former Arsenal man had a go at Celtic’s Champions League results against PSG.
In his column in the Daily Mail, Keown remarked that it was ’embarrassing’ for Celtic to have conceded so many goals to the French league leaders.
Celtic have conceded 12 goals in two games against one of the form teams in Europe.
This provoked a reply from Donnelly on his twitter account, who replied: “This guy forget Arsenal Munchen last year?Ignorance towards the budget Celtic operate under!”

The “Arsenal Munchen” reference refers to Arsenal’s 10-2 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League last sixteen last season.
Despite Celtic’s poor results against PSG and Bayern Munich, the Hoops remain in pole position to clinch Europa League football after Christmas.
With Anderlecht losing 2-1 to Bayern last night, Celtic remain three points ahead of the Belgian Champions, with the final Group Stage game to be played at Celtic Park on the 5th of December.
When the teams played in Belgium, Celtic triumphed by three goals to nil.
The Bhoys return to domestic duty this weekend, as they play Motherwell in the Betfred Cup Final at Hampden Park.
