Celtic return to Scottish Premiership action against Hamilton at Celtic Park on Wednesday night, looking to return to winning ways.

The Hoops threw away two points in their previous league game, drawing 2-2 with Hibs having at one stage being 2-0 up on Sunday.

The result saw the Bhoys’ lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table cut to five points, albeit with a game in hand, but it still would have given encouragement to nearest challengers Rangers and Aberdeen.

The Hoops are in the middle of an extremely busy December schedule, which culminates in home matches against both Aberdeen and Rangers, so rotating the side would make sense against Hamilton.

Some players need resting, which would give the fringe players a chance to impress Brendan Rodgers ahead of some big matches.

Here Football Insider names three fringe players who must get the nod to start against Hamilton.
