Four Tottenham senior players ruled out of clash against Everton

By Harry Sykes

Victor Wanyama is one of four senior Tottenham players who have been ruled out of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Everton.

The official Spurs website that midfield anchorman Wanyama will be joined on the sidelines by Erik Lamela (hips), Georges-Kevin NKoudou (foot) and Danny Rose (knee).

Wanyama is expected to be out for a few weeks after sustaining his injury prior to the 1-1 draw against Burnley.

Lamela, NKoudou and Rose are long-term absentees and have yet to appear for the club in their three matches this season.

Wanyama made an immediate impact in North London following his arrival last summer and formed a brilliant partnership alongside Mousa Dembele in the centre of midfield.

Mauricio Pochettino will need to find different alternatives in his side, with Eric Dier the natural player to fill his void for the short-term future.

Wanyama could also miss league clashes against Swansea and West Ham this month, while next Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund will come too soon for him.
