Frank Lampard backed to do ‘brilliantly’ at Coventry City after source’s reveal
Chelsea supporters have backed Frank Lampard to get his managerial career “back on track” after he has become a favourite to take over at Coventry City.
Robins had guided Coventry from being a League Two side to getting into the top half of the Championship within seven years and was fondly thought of.
Lampard has been out of management since his disastrous interim spell with Chelsea in 2023, but he did impress during his initial time in charge of the Blues by securing them Champions League football while having a transfer ban.
The former England international also guided Everton to Premier League safety and came close to winning promotion from the Championship during his time with Derby County in 2018-19.
Derby ultimately lost to Aston Villa in the playoff final that year, but it did provide him with experience working in the Championship.
Chelsea fans believe the Coventry job could be what Frank Lampard needs
Lampard remains a popular figure with Chelsea fans due to his playing career at the club, and supporters believe that he’s good enough as a manager to find success with the Sky Blues.
