Frank Lampard: Burnley interview manager duo as appointment close – sources

Frank Lampard is one of multiple candidates that Burnley have interviewed for their vacant manager’s job, sources have told Football Insider.

It is understood the Clarets interviewed four candidates on Wednesday and another two on Friday as they close in on an appointment.

Despite being one of the bookmakers’ favourites for the vacancy, former Hull City boss Liam Rosenior is believed to now be out of the running.

West Brom boss Carlos Corberan is another who has been interviewed for the job in addition to Lampard – who has been out of a job since he left Chelsea at the end of the 2022-23 season.

Corberan led the Baggies to fifth in the Championship last season before they fell short in the play-offs with a 3-1 defeat to Southampton.
