Frank Lampard delivers his verdict on Slaven Bilic's future after West Ham thrashing
By Amir Mir
Frank Lampard has stated that if performances under West Ham manager Slaven Bilic carry on then his job might be under threat.
BBC pundit Lampard also felt that at this moment in time it is not the Croatian’s fault but more of a problem on the pitch.
Manchester City beat the Hammers 5-0 at the London Stadium on Friday night in a third-round FA Cup clash.
Three goals in ten minutes during the latter stages of the first half killed the game off as Sergio Aguero and John Stones added a fourth and fifth after the interval.
Bilic’s side were passed off the park in front of their home fans as they suffered another disappointing defeat at the London Stadium.

After the game, former Hammers midfielder Lampard was asked if Bilic was now under pressure following that heavy defeat.
“If they carry on like that then, yes,” Lampard told Match of the Day. “But at this moment I don’t quite think so.
“I think what he [Bilic] gained last year was respect of an over performance. It doesn’t look like to me that the problem is him. The problems on the pitch – there is a lack of confidence at the bottom of it.”
This was the second time this season that the Irons have conceded five goals at home.
Arsenal scored five in east London when Chilean Alexis Sanchez scored a brilliant hat-trick during their Premier League fixture in December.
Additionally, the performance against City adds to the poor displays in the league, in particular at home.
Bilic’s side have conceded 35 goals in 20 league games as they are seven points above the drop zone.
