Frank Lampard handed major boost as Everton footage emerges - Agbonlahor

Frank Lampard has been handed a major boost with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Neal Maupay fit and ready for Everton, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England international claimed both strikers are different and will be deployed in different games by Lampard.

Maupay made his Blues debut in the 0-0 draw with Liverpool earlier this month after completing a move from Brighton & Hove Albion towards the end of the transfer window.

Calvert-Lewin has yet to feature this season after picking up a knee injury in pre-season training.

However, the England international, 25, was spotted in full training with his teammates in a video uploaded to Everton’s YouTube channel on Monday (12 September).

He looks set to make his return to the Everton squad on Sunday when they travel to West Ham on Sunday (18 September).

“For me, Maupay is a very good option,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“He adds attack to that pace. They’ve already got [Andre] Gray, they’ve got [Anthony] Gordon and Maupay adds that pace. He likes to run in behind.

“When Calvert-Lewin’s back it gives Lampard two different options. Some games might suit Maupay and some games might suit Calvert-Lewin.

“Lampard will be happy with that signing.”

Calvert-Lewin has scored 58 goals in 191 games across all competitions for Everton, including 45 Premier League goals in 164 appearances.

Everton are the joint-lowest scores in the Premier League this season, scoring four goals in their opening six games.

In other news, Dele Alli is expected to exit Everton permanently after a development.
