‘From what I hear…’ – Harry Kane makes Bayern Munich exit decision as Tottenham lurk
Harry Kane is happy at Bayern Munich and keen to extend his stay despite ongoing links with moves to the likes of Tottenham and Barcelona.
That is according to former Tottenham and Man United senior scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the 32-year-old is currently unlikely to leave Munich despite the speculation.
Barcelona are the latest side to show a strong interest in the England international, as they aim to replace Robert Lewandowki, who looks set to leave Barca.
However, Football Insider revealed on 10 October that Kane could sign a new Bayern Munich contract and is prepared to commit his long-term future to the German giants.
Any new deal would likely remove the £56million release clause which has kickstarted the interest in the striker who has scored 108 goals in 113 games for Munich.

Harry Kane plans to stay at Bayern Munich
After a clinical display as England beat Albania 2-0, Kane is now the all-time leading international goalscorer, overtaking Pele after scoring 78 goals for his country.
Brown, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, explained that every team in the world would love to have Kane, but he remains happy at Bayern Munich.
“Harry Kane is cut from a different cloth,” he told Football Insider.
“He’s an incredible striker and he shows that every time he plays for England and every time he plays for Bayern Munich, the goals he scores and what he does on the pitch.
“We had all the speculation about him when he was Tottenham, and now it’s coming up again at Bayern because any club in the world would love to have him.
“He’s earned his place at the top of the game, and he’s carried himself with skill and aplomb.
“From what I hear, he loves it at Bayern Munich, and his record there speaks for itself, it’s fantastic, only second to somebody like Haaland I would think.
“We’re lucky to have him up front for England, but like I say, he is happy in Munich so I think any suggestions of a move to Barcelona or Tottenham might be wide of the mark.
“If the option is there for him to stay with Bayern Munich and keep doing what he’s doing there, I see no reason why he would do anything else.”
Tottenham dealt blow in plans to sign new striker
Kane’s likely decision to remain in Munich will come as a blow to Tottenham’s plans, as he was one of the leading names on the list of targets to strengthen up front.
Brown told Football Insider on 12 November that Tottenham will move to sign a striker due to Randal Kolo Muani and Dominic Solanke’s ongoing injury problems.
This has only added to Frank‘s frustrations, with key players spending lengthy spells on the sidelines already plaguing him in the early days of his Spurs career.

This comes after Brown told Football Insider on 11 November that Tottenham have “serious concerns” after Kolo Munani suffered a major injury blow against Man United.
Tottenham expect to be missing Kolo Muani for around eight weeks, but it could be a number of months if he requires surgery on what is a significant injury.
