Oliver Ntcham delivers honest verdict on Celtic draw v Motherwell
Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham took to Twitter to express his annoyance after the Hoops failed to take advantage of playing against 10 men for 50 minutes against Motherwell at Fir Park.
Despite the first-half sending-off of Cedric Kipre, the Hoops were unable to find a breakthrough as the game ended goalless and the Hoops were unable to build on their recent Old Firm victory.
Ntcham, who was substituted by manager Brendan Rodgers on the hour mark, admitted on his personal Twitter account that the Fir Park side had done well to stifle the Hoops.
“Goalless. Motherwell 0-0 Celtic. Frustrating, we missed a great opportunity today, congrats to Motherwell,” the 22-year-old said after the game.

Ntcham was unable to influence the game at Fir Park like he had the previous week at Ibrox and it wasn’t that much of a surprise that he was eventually taken off as the Hoops went for the win.

It is hard to disagree with a single word that the Frenchman said. It was indeed a frustrating day for the Hoops, who seemed to run out of ideas against the 10 men long before the final whistle. And although as Ntcham says it was a great opportunity missed to win the game, it won’t matter in the league that much in the long run as the Hoops are 10 points clear with a game in hand. It also has to be said that Motherwell, same as the Hoops did at Ibrox, played very well with the man disadvantage and it is hard to begrudge them a point that their overall performance deserved.
