Fulham ‘handed Rasmus Hojlund boost’ amid AC Milan striker development
Fulham have had a quiet transfer window, but the Cottagers could be about to make a major signing of the summer.
Rodrigo Muniz scored a 96th minute equaliser as Fulham drew 1-1 at Brighton in their first league match of the season, in a starting XI which didn’t feature a new signing.
Atalanta have been heavily linked with Muniz, whilst Leeds United have also shown interest throughout the summer.
Fulham are in talks with Muniz over a new contract, but Marco Silva is on the look out for extra firepower in his squad as the Cottagers aim to improve on last season’s 11th placed finish.

AC Milan strike deal for Hojlund alternative
Fulham have shown recent interest in Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund, who was a target for AC Milan.
Man United have stated Hojlund can leave Old Trafford for the right price, but following a poor return of goals in the Premier League, the Red Devils have struggled to offload the Dane.
A loan could now be an option for any club pursuing Hojlund and now Fulham could face little opposition for his services.
According to Florian Plettenberg [21 August], AC Milan have agreed a deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface on a season loan with an option to buy.
The news means Hojlund is unlikely to move to the Italian giants and the 22-year-old will have to reconsider his options.
Fulham offer Hojlund Man United exit

Football Insider Verdict
Hojlund did not make the Man United squad as the Red Devils were beaten by Arsenal, and it is clear the striker needs to reignite his career elsewhere.
Fulham could still lose Muniz despite their offer of a new contract, meaning Hojlund would be competing with a 34-year-old Raul Jimenez for a spot in the starting line-up.
It represents an opportunity for Hojlund to gain regular minutes and show the Premier League his quality after two disappointing campaigns at Man United.

Fulham are a neat possession based side, whose style would suit that of Hojlund who is not a target man or a physical presence.
Hojlund may relish the quieter surroundings of West London, where the pressure to perform is not anywhere near the magnitude of Man United.
A deal could benefit both parties, as Ruben Amorim is seeking a sale to be able to afford signing more players and Fulham would benefit from another forward option.
