Fulham ‘leader’ could hammer final nail in Vitor Pereira’s coffin at Wolves
Vitor Pereira is fighting tooth and nail to keep his job as Wolves boss ahead of a Premier League away clash with Fulham.
The Old Gold sit rock-bottom of the Premier League table after nine matches, yet to even win a game, with a goal difference of -12 ahead of the trip to Craven Cottage on Saturday, 1 November.
Football Insider understands that Wolves already have plans in place for Pereira’s replacement despite handing the manager a new contract just a matter of weeks ago.
Pereira clashed with Wolves fans after the shock defeat to Burnley last weekend, forcing the hierarchy to jet into the country to discuss the manager’s future at Molineux Stadium.

Vitor Pereira’s days are numbered at Wolves
Recent history should offer some hope for the travelling fans this weekend, having beaten the Cottagers in two of the last three meetings, and this season’s form is an added bonus.
Wolves‘ opponents are sitting above the relegation zone, only by three points, but Fulham are still keen for Marco Silva to sign a new deal. The likelihood of that happening appears to be disappearing.
Securing all three points at home against the Old Gold, however, would take some of the pressure off, especially if it were to be the final nail in Pereira’s coffin instead.

One player who could make a major difference is Alex Iwobi. Despite Fulham’s struggles, he still has three goal contributions in nine games, and is seen as a team “leader” by Alan Shearer [Premier League].
Wolves should be running scared of Alex Iwobi
While Iwobi has only won four of his games against Wolves, the Nigerian international has a keen eye for goal when taking on this particular Premier League club.
He scored in the home fixture last season, albeit in a 4-1 defeat, as well as hitting the back of the net in both meetings during the 2023-24 campaign. He must be one to watch this weekend.
The Cottagers will be desperate for all three points, and if that is to happen, even against the worst team in the division right now, Silva’s biggest stars will need to be at their very best.
