‘Fulham plotting Dewsbury-Hall swoop amid Rodrigo Muniz update’

Fulham are lining up a bid for Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as they continue to ponder their striker position.

The Cottagers enjoyed a positive 2024/25 campaign, briefly challenging for a European spot before levelling out to finish 11th.

Marco Silva is now looking to strengthen to help his side further compete for a place in the top half of the Premier League and perhaps snag a continental place.

Carlos Vinicius and Willian have both left Craven Cottage at the end of their contracts, while Reiss Nelson’s loan has expired. However, Fulham are yet to add to their squad — though that could be about to change.

Fulham exploring Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall options

According to Sky Sports, Fulham are interested in Chelsea midfielder Dewsbury-Hall (22 July).

It’s understood the Cottagers have already explored conditions for both loan and permanent transfers, with a formal approach to their close London neighbours to follow if they feel a deal can realistically be struck.

Dewsbury-Hall has made 36 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions since following Enzo Maresca from Leicester last summer, notching five goals and four assists.

However, the 26-year-old has started just 19 of those outings, with only two starts and 259 minutes to his name in the Premier League.

Despite playing an important part in Chelsea’s Uefa Conference League and Fifa Club World Cup triumphs, Dewsbury-Hall will have his sights set on establishing himself as a Premier League regular.

But he likely won’t come cheap for Fulham, with a contract running until 2029 with a further option year, having cost Chelsea £30million only a year ago (BBC).

Striker on the menu for Fulham as Rodrigo Muniz exit looms

Striker is another area Fulham are looking to address after registering a middling 1.4 goals per match in 2024/25.

In fact, it could be a complete revamp in that position, with Fulham seemingly happy to let Rodrigo Muniz leave for Leeds United this summer.

Muniz has enjoyed two solid years since coming back from his loan at Middlesbrough, registering Premier League tallies of nine and eight goals — increasing to 10 and 11 across all competitions.

However, the Brazilian has just one year left on his contract — plus an option year — and Silva may feel that now is the best time to upgrade to someone with the potential to be a little more prolific.

Beyond Muniz, Silva also has veteran No.9 Raul Jiminez at his disposal, with the Mexico legend enjoying a resurgent 2024/25 campaign, finishing as Fulham’s top scorer with 12 Premier League goals and 14 across all competitions — the first time he’s registered double figures since hitting 27 for Wolves in 2019/20.
