Fulham reject major new Rodrigo Muniz offer as player stance emerges
Fulham are standing firm on Rodrigo Muniz’s transfer fee as Serie A giants Atalanta continue their quest for his signature.
The 24-year-old has taken a backseat at Craven Cottage, with Raul Jimenez preferred by Marco Silva in the final third, making just eight starts in the Premier League last season.
Despite his limited minutes, he has attracted attention from across Europe, with Daniel Farke’s Leeds United taking a deep interest in Muniz, having notched eight goals and an assist last term.
The Cottagers are yet to do much business in the summer transfer window, only adding Benjamin Lecomte to the squad as a challenger to Bernd Leno, which has left many supporters disappointed.
Muniz continues to be linked with moves away, and fans are expecting the Brazilian to depart before the summer window closes, but Atalanta will be required to splash the cash to make that possible.

Fulham reject latest Rodrigo Muniz offer
Taking to X, Sky Sports’ Sacha Tavolieri wrote: “Fulham FC rejected a €40m (£34.5m) offer for Rodrigo Muniz! The Cottagers are demanding €50M (£43.1m) and made that clear to Antonio Percassi during a meeting.
“Muniz is determined to join Atalanta Bergamo and has informed the English club of his intentions.”
The 24-year-old has 26 goals in 97 appearances for the Cottagers, with a season-long loan at Middlesbrough in the middle, but his time in London could now be finished.
Marco Silva surely frustrated with summer transfer window
Football Insider verdict
There have been fears that Silva could decide to quit Fulham over a frustrating summer window, and those concerns remain with just a few weeks of the window left.
The Cottagers have done very little business despite finishing 11th in the Premier League table last season, and the Portuguese figure is known for being cut-throat with his time at clubs.
Mick Brown told Football Insider that Fulham are closing in on a deal for Reiss Nelson, but just his arrival at Craven Cottage would be rather underwhelming after months of exciting links.

Jimenez, Harry Wilson, Adama Traore, and Alex Iwobi are all in fine form ahead of the new season, so even if Muniz were to remain at the club, he is unlikely to move up the pecking order.
Kenny Tete’s new deal at Fulham was greeted with a lot of positivity, but that was expected to be followed by a number of transfers to add to the squad’s chance of climbing the league table next season.
For now, supporters remain worried about Silva’s future at Craven Cottage, as well as several of the big-name stars, but there is very little movement either way.
