Fulham star Andreas Pereira sends stunned six-word message after Chelsea loss
Fulham’s Andreas Pereira was in disbelief after Chelsea’s shock defeats at the hands of Brazilian side Flamengo.
The Blues were the latest European club to suffer defeat at the hands of a South American side, with Porto and PSG suffering the same fate.
Chelsea took the lead through Pedro Neto, but Nicolas Jackson earned a straight red for a horror challenge just four minutes after coming on as a substitute.
Flamengo were already leading 2-1 at that point, and a late goal from substitute Wallace Yan capped off a superb performance from the Brazilian side.
Managed by former Blue Filipe Luis, the Serie A table-toppers completed a stunning comeback over the heavy favourites, much to the shock of one of their former players.
Andreas Pereira stunned by Flamengo comeback against Chelsea
Before joining the Whites, Pereira enjoyed a successful spell on loan with Flamengo over the course of two seasons between 2021 and 2022, scoring eight times in 53 appearances.
During his time with the Brazilian club, the Fulham midfielder won the Copa Libertadores which secured the Serie A side’s place in this edition of the Club World Cup.
Pereira shared a message on his Instagram story in Portuguese which read: “Nao tem jeito esqueca”, which translates to: “There is no way, forget it”.
The post was accompanied by a plethora of black and red love-heart emojis, showing support for Flamengo.

Andreas Pereira a crucial part of Fulham again after exit rumours
Football Insider Verdict
In January, Pereira made the misguided decision of speaking about a transfer to Marseille that had fallen through, saying he had been “looking forward to it.” [talkSPORT]
The Brazilian midfielder was dropped from Marco Silva‘s side and was expected to depart the club, with Palmeiras making a bid for the 29-year-old [BBC Sport].
But that bid was rejected, and after apologising for what was said during the interview, Pereira was slowly re-integrated into the Cottagers’ starting XI.
Since then, the ex-Man United man has once again become a key part of Fulham’s side, displaying the energy and technical talent that has made him a fan favourite at Craven Cottage.
Having narrowly missed out on qualification for European football this year, Pereira will no doubt be spurred on to help the Whites to a place in continental competition next year after watching his former side embarrass the Cottagers’ West London rivals.
