Fulham star who won seven duels in international clash must be handed new deal immediately
Harry Wilson scored a hat-trick for Wales in their 7-1 victory over North Macedonia on 18 November as they look ahead to the World Cup play-offs in March 2026.
Prior to the international break, attention continued to be on whether Fulham would extend Wilson’s stay at the club.
The number eight is set to leave on a free next summer with Marco Silva frantically working on a new deal for the Welshman.
Over the summer, sources told Football Insider that Leeds were interested in signing Wilson, and now may wait until the end of the season to bring him in on a free transfer.
However, after the ex-Derby County man’s stunning performance for the Dragons, the Cottagers may be thinking about ramping up talks to tie him down at Craven Cottage.

Wilson in sensational form as Marco Silva takes note of his all-round class
Wilson had been tipped as an ideal signing for Wolves in January by Football Insider, yet his display against North Macedonia will certainly do much to increase his chances of staying at Fulham.
The 28-year-old scored an excellent hat-trick, notching twice from the penalty spot and from a delightful free-kick.
The Wales international was ruthlessly clinical, converting all three of his shots in a complete performance.

| Total shots (on target) | 3 (3) |

Moreover, the ex-Cardiff City starlet was astute on the ball, racking up four key passes, creating one big chance and also delivering an assist for Dan James’ goal in the 57th minute.
On top of this, Wilson showed defensive might and an excellent work rate, winning all three of his tackles as well as winning seven of his 11 ground duels.
Silva must hammer Fulham board’s door to finalise Wilson deal
The display against North Macedonia showed that the number eight is maturing as a player with an excellent all-round game.

Moreover, Craig Bellamy opted to play Wilson as a makeshift striker as he excelled in the role, certainly something to consider for Silva given Rodrigo Muniz’s injury woes.
At 28-years-old, the Welshman is entering his prime years as a footballer and the Cottagers should capitalise on this moment.
For instance, a four-year deal could be ideal to retain him at Craven Cottage during his best years of football, putting off Leeds from making any further advances for his signature.
