Fulham submit £26m bid for major January signing, selling club responds

Fulham have submitted a £26million bid for PSV attacker Ricardo Pepi.

Marco Silva’s side have returned to form in recent weeks and picked up their third win in as many games when they beat West Ham 1-0 on the weekend.

As a result, Fulham have now found themselves in the race for Europe, and are looking towards the January window to make improvements to their squad.

Now, it has been reported that they are eyeing US international Pepi as Fulham look to finish the Premier League season as high as possible.

Fulham see £26m bid rejected for Ricardo Pepi

It was reported by Tom Bogert via Instagram on 30 December that Fulham have seen a £26m bid for Pepi rejected by PSV.

The 22-year-old has been at the Dutch giants since 2023, and has been on fine form this season.

To date, he has 10 goals and two assists in all competitions this season as PSV aim to win another Eredivisie title.

However, Fulham are not set to give up on their pursuit just yet, with another bid expected from the Cottagers.

Pepi was a West Ham target last January, but the move never happened after PSV rejected an offer from the East London club.

How good is Pepi for PSV?

So far this season, Pepi has been fantastic for PSV. The striker has scored seven goals in 14 matches for the Dutch side in the Eredivisie, while also picking up one assist.

On Fotmob on 30 December, his stats are fantastic, particularly in the attacking areas, averaging 0.91 goals per match.

On top of this, he is also excellent in possession, performing 1.04 successful dribbles and 7.17 touches in the opposition box every game.

Therefore, it is clear that the signing of Pepi would likely improve Fulham’s squad going into the second half of the campaign.

Hopefully, the Cottagers are able to go back with a convincing bid to PSV to ensure that the transfer is completed before the end of the January window.
