Amid speculation over Nwaneri signing a new contract, Chelsea were interested in securing the midfielder.
However, doubts have been firmly quashed with Arsenal supporters delighted by the news with one fan saying it is “a statement of intent,” whilst another claimed Nwaneri is a “future Gunners legend.”

Nwaneri could play a pivotal role for Arsenal this season, with Arteta playing the teenager in midfielder during pre-season instead of out on the right flank.
