Gabriel Magalhaes and Evanilson react to Man City star Savinho’s latest

Savinho took to social media to share an update from the Brazil training ground as the Man City star looks to make an impact during the international break.

The 20-year-old has looked electric on the right wing, combining well with the likes of Erling Haaland to notch two goals and nine assists across all competitions during his first season in England.

With Jeremy Doku on the opposite wing, Jack Grealish has suffered at Man City and has been tipped for a swift exit this summer, also seeing Kevin De Bruyne take a backseat.

There is no denying that City have underperformed this season, having been knocked out of the Champions League and still fighting for a top-four spot in the Premier League.

Yet, Savinho has offered a lot of hope in the final third that Pep Guardiola will have a lot to work with in attack ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Savinho wants to impress away from Man City

Taking to Instagram [20 March], Savinho posted three training images of himself, with Brazil and lightning emojis, which has gained traction from some of his rivals.

Included in one of the photos, Gabriel Magalhaes, liked the post, as did Bournemouth’s Evanilson and Man City teammates Phil Foden and Rico Lewis.

Pep Guardiola looking ahead to the future at the Etihad Stadium

Football Insider verdict

Guardiola has been tipped to be in his final season at Man City, but with another season still on his current deal, the Catalonian will already be scheming ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

The Citizens are likely to experience a summer of change, with De Bruyne possibly leaving Man City, and John Stones, Grealish, Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic all following him through the exit doors.

Omar Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez, Vitor Reis, and Abdukodir Khusanov were already added to the squad during the winter transfer window, though results and performances on the pitch have not improved much.

Man City did not hold back during the winter transfer window.

It could be a rather emotional summer should multiple long spells at the Etihad Stadium come to an end, especially if the manager is to wave the white flag, but it is difficult to see Guardiola pass the torch when the club needs him most.

While plans will already be in the process of being made, transfers will certainly depend on where City finish in the Premier League table, because without Champions League football, it becomes more difficult to attract players.
