Gabriel Magalhaes posts emotional farewell message after confirmed Arsenal news

Gabriel Magalhaes dedicated an emotional message on social media following a confirmed exit at Arsenal.

Arsenal are in the midst of a summer rebuild, with several departures already sealed and new arrivals expected in the coming weeks.

Confirmed exits include Jorginho, Nuno Tavares and Kieran Tierney, who have all left Arsenal and joined their new sides.

While the Gunners are working on additions, none have been officially announced yet. Arsenal are closing in on a move for Martin Zubimendi, though there were concerns Real Madrid could hijack a potential deal.

Gabriel himself recently committed his future to Arsenal by signing a new contract, putting to rest speculation over a potential move to Saudi Arabia. Despite the strong interest, the defender made it clear he intends to remain part of Mikel Arteta’s project.

However, changes are not limited to the playing squad. A key member of the backroom staff has now officially left the club, prompting a heartfelt message from Gabriel.

Gabriel Magalhaes bids farewell to Carlos Cuesta

It was confirmed on 18 June that Carlos Cuesta will leave Arsenal this summer to take up a managerial role at Serie A side Parma.

Gabriel shared his reaction to the news on his Instagram story, writing: “Good luck on your journey! I wish you all the best! Thanks for everything! I will miss you,” alongside a sad face and heart emoji.

At just 29, he is set to become the youngest manager in Europe’s top five leagues and was reportedly drawn to the opportunity to lead Parma in his first senior role.

Several Arsenal players, including Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice, also responded to Cuesta’s departure, reflecting his strong influence within the dressing room.

He joined the club in 2020 and quickly built a strong reputation both at Arsenal and across European football. Despite signing a new deal at the Emirates last summer, he will now embark on a new challenge in Italy.

As the Gunners look to strengthen their squad during a crucial summer window, they appear to have hit a stumbling block in their pursuit of one of their top attacking targets.

Football Insider revealed Arsenal are set to miss out on Real Madrid forward Rodrygo, who now looks likely to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Arsenal had shown interest in the Brazilian winger amid uncertainty over his future in the Spanish capital. However, the arrival of Xabi Alonso as Real Madrid manager may have shifted the situation.

Rodrygo featured in Madrid’s Club World Cup fixture against Al-Hilal and recent developments could now force Arsenal to explore alternative options in what is shaping up to be a pivotal transfer window.
