Brendan Rodgers has named Christia Gamboa in his starting XI to face Dundee this afternoon – and Celtic fans are delighted.
The Costa Rican defender has been out of the side since opting to play for his country in the Gold Cup over the summer.
Fans have been calling for the former West Brom defender to return to the starting XI for weeks as Celtic have struggled with defensive injuries.
Gamboa is one of seven changes from the side which drew 2-2 with Hibs before the international break, as confirmed by the Hoops’ official Twitter account.

Dorus De Vries, Eboue Kouassi, Patrick Roberts, Scott Sinclair, Nir Bitton, Leigh Griffiths and Gamboa all come in for Craig Gordon, Mikael Lustig, James Forrest, Tom Rogic, Johnny Hayes, Odsonne Edouard and Moussa Dembele.
It’s the re-introduction of Gamboa though that has caught fans’ interest.

The 27-year-old has made 21 appearances for the Hoops since signing in 2016 from West Brom.
A win for the Scottish champions would see them extend their unbeaten domestic run to 59 games ahead of travelling to Munich to face Bayern in the Champions League in midweek.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have already faced Dundee this season – coming out 4-0 winners in the Scottish League Cup quarter-final at Dens Park.
In other Celtic transfer news, the club are joint favourites to sign a left-footed midfield creator who has demolished the Hoops in the past.
