'Gap has closed' - Sean Goss makes bold claim about Rangers and Celtic

New Rangers midfielder Sean Goss believes that his team-mates have already closed the gap on bitter rivals Celtic.
The on-loan signing from QPR watched as a spectator as the Gers turned-in a fine performance against the Hoops in the goalless draw between the teams before the winter break.
Since then the Gers have made a few intriguing signings including winger Jamie Murphy and striker Jason Cummings, both of whom have arrived from England.
And the 22-year-old has now boldly claimed that he and the rest of the squad at Ibrox are getting closer to Brendan Rodgers’ side.
“I watched the game before the winter break and the lads did well and could have nicked it,” he said, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“The gap has closed. The club is heading towards where it used to be, being back in the Premiership. We have really high ambitions for the rest of this season as well. We want a cup and to finish as well as we can in the league.”
The Gers are currently 11 points behind their old rivals in the Scottish Premiership table, with the teams set to meet again for the third time this season on the 10 March at Ibrox.
Goss’ competitive debut for the Light Blues has been put back, as Sunday’s Scottish Cup tie with Fraserburgh was cancelled because of the weather.
He will now makes his debut against Aberdeen at Ibrox on Wednesday, in a match which could have huge implications in the battle for second place in the table, as a win for the Gers would move them above the Dons on goal difference.
