Garry Monk reveals how Leeds will beat Sheffield Wednesday in Twitter verdict
By Will Butcher
Garry Monk has called on his Leeds stars to concentrate on themselves and forget about the pressures of playing their promotion rivals Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
Monk’s side will be looking to get their promotion hunt back on track with three points against rivals Wednesday, as Elland Road plays host to what is likely to be a feisty encounter.
Posting on his personal Twitter account, the 37-year-old manager challenged his stars to “focus on ourselves” against Carlos Carvalhal’s promotion rivals in front of the television cameras.

The former Swansea manager has seen his side win just once in their last four games, suffering losses to Huddersfield and Cardiff.
However, Leeds will take solace in that they secured three points against Wednesday earlier in the season at Hillsbrough, winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Marcus Antonsson and Chris Wood.

Former Champions League side Leeds sit above Wednesday by the thinnest of margins, with just one goal separating the two sides between fifth and sixth.
Monk is still without left-back Charlie Taylor who continues to struggle with an achilles injury, while young right-back Lewie Coyle also misses out through a foot problem.
A win for Monk and the rest of his Leeds side could see them climb to fourth place, if Jaap Stam’s Reading lose to automatic promotion hopefuls Brighton on Saturday.
In other Leeds news, this forward has been granted permission to play.
