Garry Monk sends Twitter message after Leeds miss out on play-offs
By Amir Mir
Garry Monk has expressed his disappointment on Twitter after Leeds missed the chance to finish in the play-off places.
One win in their last seven Championship matches has resulted in the Yorkshire club slipping outside of the top six.
They needed a win against Norwich on Saturday afternoon to keep their promotion hopes alive, but they were 3-0 down within the first 45 minutes.
Leeds did produce a fightback and rescue a point, but that was not enough because sixth-placed Fulham, who have a superior goal difference, drew against Brentford.
After the match and their final home game of the season at Elland Road, Monk sent this message to supporters.

Going into the final day of the Championship campaign, Leeds are three points behind Fulham, who have a 13 goal swing advantage on their rivals.
As a result, the Whites will need a miracle if they are to secure a top six spot, which means they are now set to spend another season in the second tier of English football.
Monk has a contract which runs until the end of the summer as he will be looking to extend his contract in order to help the club make a return to the Premier League.
It has been 13 years since Leeds tasted top flight football as they will be hoping Monk can guide them back to the promise land next term.
In other Leeds news, Garry Monk is set to be sacked and another manager has been lined up.
