Gary Lineker believes Slaven Bilic is fully in control of the West Ham dressing room after they secured a 2-2 draw against Liverpool.

The Hammers have endured a difficult start to the season, which sees them continue to languish above the relegation zone by just one point.

Posting on his personal Twitter account, Lineker claimed that the draw at Anfield was a “very good result” and said he was “chuffed” for Bilic.

Liverpool took the lead early on through England international Adam Lallana, who turned and shot into the far corner from eight yards out.

However, Liverpool’s lead lasted little over 20 minutes, as Dimitri Payet equalised with a curling free-kick that Loris Karius will have been disappointed to have conceded.

The Hammers went 2-1 up through Michail Antonio’s neat finish, but could not secure all three points as Darren Randolph’s fumble was tapped in by Divock Origi early in the second half.

The point pushes Bilic’s side out of the Premier League relegation zone, after Swansea secured a 3-0 win over Sunderland to move into 17th yesterday.

West Ham must now prepare for Wednesday night, as they welcome Premier League new boys Burnley to the London Stadium.

In other West Ham news, these two Hammers stars earned a rating of 8/10 during the 2-2 draw.
