Pundits Gary Lineker and Stan Collymore hailed an accomplished Liverpool display after they drew 1-1 against Borussia Dortmund on Thursday night.
Divock Origi put Jurgen Klopp’s side ahead with a first-half strike before Mats Hummels equalised early in the second half with a header.
Origi’s away goal in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final tie gives Liverpool a strong foothold going into the second leg at Anfield next Thursday.
The Merseysiders were good value for a draw with a resolute defensive display against one of Europe’s in-form teams.
Match of the Day presenter Lineker was impressed with Liverpool and struck by Klopp’s growing influence as he gave his instant verdict on his Twitter account.
Excellent result for Liverpool and a terrific performance. Klopp is slowly, but most certainly, transforming this Liverpool side.
