Gary Mabbutt sticks the boot in when talking about Tottenham, states who is ordinary
By Amir Mir
Gary Mabbutt has stuck the boot into Tottenham’s rivals by stating Mauricio Pochettino’s team have made them look “ordinary” this season.
The former defender was specifically talking about current Premier League leaders Chelsea, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and their north London rivals Arsenal.
All three have suffered comprehensive defeats at the hands of Tottenham this season at White Hart Lane.
Spurs recently beat their London neighbours, Arsenal when Dele Alli and Harry Kane got on the scoresheet to help their team secure a valuable three points.
Mabbutt was full of praise for his former club as he offered advice on what the players should do if they want to win trophies.

“We’ve made Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal look ordinary at times this season,” Mabbutt told the Mirror.
“The vital thing is that our players connect as a group and this group of players want to win things. Not just as individuals. You see with other teams but not with Tottenham.”
Pochettino’s side beat Manchester City and Chelsea earlier on in the campaign, both by the same scoreline (2-0).
The most impressive victory arguably came against the current league leaders in January when Spurs ended their 13-match winning run.
On that day, attacking midfielder Alli netted a brace as the England international has since gone on to win the PFA Young Player of the Year award for the second season running.
He will be hoping to add the Premier League title to his name as his team is currently four points behind Chelsea in the table.
They have the opportunity to put the pressure on Antonio Conte’s side by reducing that gap to one point when they travel to West Ham on Friday evening.
