Georginio Rutter sends four-word message to fans after Brighton latest
Brighton attacking-midfielder Georginio Rutter has taken to social media to tell Brighton fans “let’s go” after their win over Ipswich Town.
The former Leeds United man, Rutter, was brought off the bench by manager Fabian Hurzeler and scored in their 2-0 victory over the Tractor Boys (16 January).
Japanese winger, Kaoru Mitoma opened the scoring for the Seagulls in the 59th minute, after being assisted my Matt O’Riley.
Brighton then ramped up the pressure on the relegation-threatened Ipswich as they went in search of a second goal to kill off the game.
It took until the later stages of the match for the South coast side to find their winner, as Rutter latched onto a flick-on from Danny Welbeck to find the back of the net.
Brighton look to find their form with first win of the new year
2025 started slowly for the Seagulls, after drawing six and losing two of their last eight Premier League games.
That winless run had extended all the way back to 23 November, when they beat Bournemouth away 2-1.
Rutter has struggled for Brighton, scoring three goals and assisting two in 20 league matches since signing from Leeds for £40million in the summer.
However, last night showed why fans should be excited by his talents, and Rutter took to Instagram to send a simple message, saying: “Goal. Victory. Lets’ go.”

Despite the winless run, Brighton are still in a good position to make a push for European football this season thanks to a positive start to the season, the Seagulls sit ninth on 31 points.
Brighton’s next game will see them take on Man United on Sunday (19 January) at Old Trafford.
The Seagulls could be set to lose striker Evan Ferguson in the January transfer window, with West Ham linked with a move for the Irish forward.
In other news, Brighton could be about to lose a key staff member after David Moyes took charge at Everton.
